We are celebrating a really wonderful milestone in The Old Wash House's modern history - it is the first anniversary since we opened our doors to the many wonderful guests and four legged friends who have chosen our luxury cottage in Dartmouth for their South Devon holiday.
The wonderful, hot summer of 2018 was the launch pad of our boutique Georgian holiday cottage, and the bookings rolled in as visitors wanted to make the most of some really terrific weather. As you know, there is no place to be like South Devon, and the fabulous, historic town of Dartmouth has so much to offer visitors - from boat trips and coastal walks, to a castle, cream teas, outstanding restaurants, steam train, secluded coves, water sports, gardens.....the list goes on!
Some twelve months later, we have secured over 70 bookings, sold over 520 nights, welcomed back many repeat visitors and scored only the highest ratings with all of our online reviews from our valued guests, whether posted to our Facebook page, or to Coast & Country Cottages and Sykes Cottages. We are delighted that so many of our guests are clearly very happy with The Old Wash House. Here's just some of the comments written into our guest book at the cottage:

As summer approaches, we are looking forward to a really busy time at The Old Wash House, as we are fully booked until mid October. The tubs and baskets in the courtyard are potted up with summer flowers, the basket of leaflets is exceptionally well stocked with lots of ideas for days out, activities and events in the area, and there is a real buzz around town as the planning for Dartmouth Mayflower 400 commemorative celebrations really starts to take shape. And of course, we are now moving into regatta season - what fun that is going to be!
